Name that part

Postby maintainer » Mon Sep 07, 2015 8:03 am

I have my GL 1000 torn down and thought I did a good job of organizing for reassembly BUT. :o

Suddenly what seems to be a spacer magically appeared under the rear of the bike.

Now it's not the stepped spacer on the caliper side of the wheel/axle.

This simply looks like a piece of pipe 1" OD and is 3 1/2 inches long.

Anyone???

You need to give us a chance! Pretty slow traffic on here today, it's a holiday!

Was it the axle spacer from inside the wheel?

Several things are different on the 1000 than the 1100 I'm finding.
It was the final drive side spacer, it fits up into the final drive spine and had fallen out.
