GL1000 78' STARTER HELP

Postby eekclegzed » Tue Oct 20, 2015 3:09 pm

Hello fellow Goldwingers, after recently doing a full engine rebuild I've noticed the stud/ terminal on my starter has become loose and wobbles around a lot. This is causing a intermitant continuity problem when the solenoid is engergised. If I wobble the stud and try to start it works. Anyone else had this problem?

Thanks

If this is tightened too tight it can break, or can break where it is welded on the inside of the starter. See: viewtopic.php?t=9718#p45381
