Headlight bucket

Postby tycham » Sat Feb 27, 2016 1:50 pm

I have a 1978 GL1000 that I am redoing as a naked wing. Can a chrome 75-77 bucket be used. I will be converting it from sealed beam to LED

I don't see why not. I have de-customised my 1977 GL1000 by removing the matt black plastic 'thing' and café racer brackets and fitted proper chrome 'ears'. I bought a secondhand steel headlight shell, had that chrome plated, and it all fits. Provided you have the correct distance between the ears - and I can go an measure that off my bike if you wish - I can see no reason for the shell not to fit.
