GL1000 headlight ground terminal

Postby Paul Narramore » Sun Feb 28, 2016 7:57 am

I have a newly bought steel headlight shell for my 1977 GL1000 and on the inside there is a soldered on male electrical terminal, obviously an earth (US = ground). However there's no sign of any earth wires with female terminals within the headlight wiring which might fit there. Maybe this is an earth to be used with add-on accessories such as spotlights or headed grips? Any ideas?

IF!!!! I remember correctly the ground in the bucket was just a wire with an eye on it bolted to the turn signal's mounting bolt. But it's been a whirl since I was in a bucket.
