1980 1100 runs but will not move.

Are we talking a clutch or trans. It runs just won't move.

Need more specific info. Could be the rear drive as well. Can you feel it shift into gear from neutral? Does engine sound different when you let the clutch out? Details please!

Update: when the owner of the bike bought it they told his wife who picked it up that the clutch needed to be replaced. At that time the bike was very difficult to get out of gear so I was told. So they replaced the clutch (new owners) and did not have a manual so it was put back the way it was taken apart (SCARY). I need to find an how to on clutch replacement so I can make sure things were done correctly. Any Ideas on were to find such a critter? its a Interstate
