1978 GL1000 Temperature Guage

Postby kiitf69 » Sun Sep 19, 2010 12:35 am

Hi,

I just purchased a 1978 GL1000 Goldwing. The previous owner mentioned that the temperarure guage had just recently stopped working (All other guages work fine). The bike has 22000mi on it. Am I correct to assume the sending unit is bad? Any help would be appreciated.

thanks,

Jeff

Either that, or the wiring in between the sender and the gauge. If the fuel gauge has also quit, chances are it's the 7 volt regulator.

Thanks for the feedback. I will take a closer look at the wiring.
