1978 gl1000 honda wont run

So I bought a 1978 gl1000 Honda goldwing and I'm not a pro on fixing motorcycles but my friend knows a lot on this stuff so we have been fixing everything we can to get it starting.

We have already done.

-water pump
-timing belt
-cleaned out the carbs
-New oil
-New gas
-New battery

And all of that has been done correctly.
Right now we're seeing if the ring or the head is cracked
The motorcycle does turn over and sounds like it wants to start, I've had a few people come by who knows about engines to take a look at it but most don't know what the problem is.
We also found out that on the right side of the engine where the spark plugs are at if you take it out and stick your finger in it and try starting it it will push air out and the right side doesn't really push air out while the other side(left) is pushing a lot of air so Where looking at the right sides head to see if it's cracked.

If anyone knows anything please tell anything you know or ask me more questions about the bike thanks I really want to get this running so everything is a lot of help.

Spark,compression,fuel mixture.
By what you describe,I'd suggest a compression test of each cylinder...Adjust the valves, verify the timing marks on the timing belts.
A cylinder will just barely fire at 90 psi.Expect above 125 psi with no more that 5 psi difference between cylinders.

Forgive me if this is far too simple, but with mine the start/stop switch was fried so I built a new one with a toggle switch and some electrical tape.
