Clutch plate lifter replacement.

Post by Shammon » Sun Sep 17, 2017 5:06 pm

Hi, snapped the clutch plate lifter despite taking it easy when fitting it does any one know if a CB750 lifter fits as it looks the same or can suggest one that does fit as hard to get this part in UK.

Also any advice on re fitting the replacement so it wont snap. manual states criss cross pattern I was now thinking i did opposite sides that caused it and should have done it this was in pic?
or can anyone suggest a better criss cross pattern to tighten them in order?
thanks Andy.

CB750 clutch lifter plate looks very much the same as the original (GL1000 on left. CB750 on right) . Bearing seat and holes all line up.
The spring seat is better as its not sitting on the edge of the lip like it does in the original, however the centre rim part as in the photo is lower down.
Im not sure how much of an issue this would be if fitted?
