Master Cylinder rebuild for 1978 GL1000

Post by KCwing » Tue Sep 19, 2017 10:27 am

My MC is leaking and shorting out my electical components so this needs to be repaired. I'm not sure exactly where it is leaking from so I plan to do a complete re-build as I'm sure it has never been done on this bike. WingAdmin posted a DIY for the GL1100 that is very good. Will this same DIY work for my GL1000? Do you guys have a recommendation on where to purchase the kit? Thanks!

Last I knew you could still get them from Honda.

I get mine from GeorgeFix on EBay.

I don't know if he has them but suggest you check with: www.randakks.co

He has a lot of rebuild parts and kits. His stuff is high quality.

While Randakk does sell the kits, his are almost $20 more.

I would be willing to pay the extra money to insure good quality. Remember, you do get what you pay for!

The kits that GeorgeFix sells are 1st rate.

You're paying for Randakk's name and advertizing in this case.
