turn signals on 1976 GL1000

Postby dcarroll » Sun Mar 20, 2011 7:45 pm

I just bought a 1976 GL1000. When I try the turn signals there is just a continuos buzzer alarm. Any idea what the problem might be?

I replaced the handlebars on my 76 when I got done I had the same problem. There is a cluster of wires with pin connectors under a rubber boot on the right side under the false gas tank. It's close to the header. On mine there was a set of grey wires and a set of white. They look almost the same color possibly from fading. I had them connected white to grey on both wires. This might be your problem too. The wires run through the bars so I had to unplug all of those. Maybe one of them is disconnected?
