That thing has been on there before.

Bidding got to $11,600 and reserve was still not met. Don't know what they think they have but I would have sold it for that if it was mine.

Believe it or not I heard about through collector circles about a 1976 GL1000 Limited that sold for $28,000.00.
I'll bet there are some serious collectors bidding on it.

That's the beauty of eBay. There's always somebody on there with more money than brains. Same can be said for Barrett Jackson IMO.

I fail to understand how their claim of having never serviced it makes it worth more? It's low mileage makes it worth more, but what difference would a service make to it's value? Nice bike, but seems a lot of money for an old bike.. I would prefer a newer wing with all the mod cons for the same price!! I don't buy bikes to look at them, but to ride them..

What makes these Wings special is that only 2000 were made in 1976.
A 'Pristine' Wing can mean big bucks to a collector who wishes to add this gem to their collection. By the time the auction ends it will probably be close to $20,000.00.
I know a gentleman who is a collector and he owns 2 76 Limited models, 3 1985 Limited, 4 86 Aspencade SEi and 2 of the 2009 limited edition baby blue GL1800's, plus many other bikes we wish we could own including one of the few Indian Trikes.
Trust me if I had the money I'd be bidding on that Wing too.

I just think it is really cool that this special bike is still around , let alone with such low mileage.
I have my father-in-laws 1975 I am restoring. He bought it new, and comes with all the original paperwork and shop manuals , even the sales reciept. I am almost there.

Not so! There were only 2000 imported to the USA in '76. Altogether there were around 3500 (I have the exact figures somewhere  ) made, the last of them going to Germany.

'Impossible' is just a level of difficulty! The only stupid question is the one you didn't ask first!
