no speedo, odo, or turn cancel switch

Postby thefrontsight » Sat Feb 18, 2012 4:55 pm

I noticed that they were not working during a ride yesterday. Any ideas what this could be? I know the cable is still attached to the front wheel. Im lost!
I have an 82 interstate. Please help.

sounds like the speedo cable is broken. probably just replace that and you'll be back in business. the turn signal cancelling doesn't work if the speedo doesn't work. that feature should return to normal once the speedo is fixed.

Yep, check the cable..take it off the wheel put a slotted screw driver in a drill and run it..does the speedo react?? if not broken cable; if it does ..broke speedo housing at the wheel..or the speedo is bad.

I noticed you also said you had no turn/cancel switch. I lost all three on Shadow trike and it turned out to be a blown.
