Hello people - I own a 1983 Aspencade - which I adore even though I have had a few problems with her. Has anyone conveted a wing to hydraulic clutch action instead of cable. I only ask because I have broken my wrist a couple of times in my youth and sometimes it "gives out" on me , especialy in the cold weather. I looked at fitting the rear cover off a 1200 onto the 1100 engine but the bolt holes on the cases do not line up. I am looking at getting a hydraulic clutch unit off a pitbike an example of which can be found at this link http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HYDRAULIC-CLUTCH- ... 2557ff140c - the sort you can get off ebay - but the slave cyclinder off the unit has a 6mm bolt compared to the 8mm which is a standard size. I have a handlebar unit from a 1200 which would fit and can get the pipework custom made. This should enable me to keep the standard clutch cover - and small lever - that are fitted to the 1100 but will allow the handlebar lever and cable to be replaced by hydraulics. Has anyone got any thoughts about this ? or am I breaking new ground with a conversion like this?

I've thought about doing this as well, but instead just replaced my clutch cable with a nice new fresh one, lubricated it well, and that smoothed it out for me. If you do go ahead with the conversion, I'd be interested to see how you get on with it.
