I installed 6- 1/2" pioneer speakers in the front, and 3" surface mounted speakers into the box, here's my photo's...I have sound pretty nice sound coming off my bike now, I made the box for the stereo, it's been shown here before but the speakers are new...
I won't bore you with a step by step as it's a pretty simple task... :D

Yellow Wire is the memory wire this has to be connected to the battery thru a fuse for safety . this wire keeps the stations that you pre select and the clock . Without this wire your pres and clock would have to be reset each time you start the bike. and the radio will not work without it.You can hook up the yellow and power wire together to have the radio to work. but has to be reset each time you start bike. hope this helps

How did you do yours? I just made the box and fastened it directly into the fairing using 3" screws...Wrapped the box with imitation leather..It's pretty simple..I put two small square pieces of plywood inside the fairing for a backer when I screwed the box in.. probably could use nuts and bolts the same way..simply done..Works for me...serves its purpose..
