Need to know how to replace the bearings inside the water pump

I found this article on rebuilding the water pump - but I know a couple other people on another web site who tried rebuilding them, only to have them leak again shortly after. The original bakelite impellers are also quite fragile after 25-30 years. The replacement Honda pumps use aluminum impellers.

I considered rebuilding my pump, but after realizing how much time and effort was involved in getting to the pump, I decided the cost of a new pump (and knowing it was going to last for a long time to come) was worth not having to pull it all apart to do over again in a few months.
