voltmeter

my 82 interstate has the guages on the fairing but my voltmeter doesn't work can i run a jumper wire from the batery to test it? and were should i look to see if it is h wired in, my manual doesn't have any wiring diagrams for this. thanks in advance

Sure can.Remember green is ground and I think there is a fuse in a clam shell holder behind the turn signal for the meter.

thanks, fuse was blown and to my suprise a new one was in the clam. works like a charm now.

Don't forget to replace that spare fuse in the clamshell!
