What is this on my Fairing?

Postby patbrandon1 » Fri Apr 27, 2012 3:21 am

Here is a photo of the lower Fairing on my 1982 Goldwing GL1100i. It is a Hondaline, and there is a light type looking thing on the corner of the lowers. It is amber in color, and looks like some kind of electric light to me. If you click the pic you will see it better. They currently do not light up. I am going to pull the lowers off when I get time, and see if there is wire to it. But I am curious to see if anyone may know what these are. Thanks for your time.

Solved. I took off the lowers today and it did have a small wire going to it. I stripped the wire and put power to them and they both lit up. Maybe I will reconnect them. They had been cut, and no wire leading to them left. There is just a small hole in the fairing lower where the wire went, and 2 smalls hole for the mounting bolts. I could take them off and be back more to original.
