GL1100 1982 Aspencade - FUEL TANK LEAK

Any able to offer any tips on removing the fuel tank so I can repair a small leak? :shock:

Schedule a weekend. :)

You need to remove the seat, shelter, side covers, rear brake master cylinder, saddlebags, trunk, rear wheel, rear shock absorbers, hand rails, both sections of the rear fender, battery, battery box, left side engine mount plate, fuel valve and the cross plate over the top of the tank. The tank is then removed out the rear of the motorcycle, where the wheel normally is.

Holy smokes, WingAdmin. :shock: I would be tempted to just rig a small gas can in the saddle bag. ;) Lot of work for one item.

It's more work to get the fuel tank out of an 1100 than it is to get the engine out!
