What Version of Bike is this? Interstate or Standard
Hello: I was given a 1980 GL1100 and I am trying to determine if it is the interstate or standard model. Is there anyway to tell from the bike itself? The VIN# is SC02-2008941 if that helps. Thank you for the help I need to trace all the wires.

If it has a OEM Hondaline fairing, it's an Interstate. If it has no fairing (or an aftermarket Vetter fairing), it's a Standard.

Look on the steering column left side there is a vin plate 1100I = interstate, A=apsy, blank = standard.
but if there are emblems on the faux tank it's a standard
