Can somone tell me what type of bulb does an 1983 goldwing Gl 1100 standard use.

Both, front and back turn signals and the brake lights???

Yup, 1157 bulbs are what you are looking for. Either standard auto type or LED. If going with LED bulbs match the colour to the lens. Red for brake light and amber for turn signals. 8-)

If you haven't already, opt for the LED, but make sure you change out your flasher unit to an electronic type that is good for the LED's.
