Questions about syncing the carbs

Postby goldminerusa » Sat Jun 09, 2012 1:39 pm

I read the whole syncing the carbs article last nite and at the end i thought what should be done as far as maintenance or repair, before syncing the carbs? Adjust valves? New air filter? Set timing? All help here will be much appreciated. Thanks

Yes on the valve adjustment, I don't think you can set the timing though. How old are your timing belts?

The manual calls for carb sync the same interval as oil change and valve clearance inspection, 8,000 miles. I do my carbs when I change the oil, I only do the valve clearance every other oil change.
