Break pad problem

Postby tallman21 » Sun Jun 17, 2012 6:14 am

Hey guys! Just spent the last 3 days completely revamping the wing. Repainted it all and did its yearly maintanance. Took it out for a ride yesterday and noticed that the front brake pads would "fall" bake onto the rotor and make a slight grinding noise. I say fall because the piston is pulling back far enough to release the pressure on the pads but whenever i corner or hit a bump the pads bounce back towards the caliper. Im assuming there is something that keeps the pads from doing this but im not sure where to look.

Thanks

Eric

There should be a flat metal spring in the bottom of the caliper, that pushes the brake pads up against the brake pins, and keeps the pads from doing this:
