Replacing needle in carb

Hey guys I'm new to the goldwing family. I have an 81gl1100 and my #1 cylinder was hydro locked. I need to replace the needle. Has anyone had to do this. I appreciate it in advance if anyone has any incite full tips thanks

I've done that.Ordered a rebuild kit for one job,just cleaned the other.
Get in the habit of turning off the fuel when your done for the day riding.
That's what the fuel lever is for.The bike does not have a "auto shutoff" valve like the newer bikes.
It relies on you to do it.
By the way,even after rebuilding the 1100 carbs,one time it did hydro-lock on me(within 6 months after).I had been leaving the fuel on all the time.But not any more.

Thanks for the tip I'll make sure I turn off the fuel in the future
