I don't think it will, but I don't know for 100%. I know there were changes in the 1100 seat, but I don't know if they are significant enough to make it not fit - not without seeing one!
I just joined Goldwingdocs. Looks like a great place for info. I just ordered and recieved a Saddleman seat from Ebay, the narrative said it was for an 1100. When I got it the rear brackets were too narrow so I slotted the two holes and added flat washers. When I tried to install the seat I found out that the front bracket was a shallow channel where as the 1000 used a flat bracket. So then I took my handy Dremel tool and cut the edges off the 1100 seat . Now it would slide under the front seat bracket, but I then found that the rear seat brackets were too short to fit the mounting holes in the frame. Soooo I added longer brackets and finally it fit! All this took about 10 minutes but others may not want to bother.

75 - 77 has a different conture on the front of the seat then a 78 - 79. A GL1100 has a plastic seat pan and you would have to cut the front part of the seat pan ant try to put the metal seat from the GL1000 on the GL1100 seat pan.
