Is it safe to use 20-W50 oil in the summer? My bike has 88,000 + miles on it

Is oil for automobiles ok to put in it or does it have to be specifically for motorcycles?

Be careful with car oils. Some have friction modifiers that are bad for clutch plates. Best to use oils that say made for 'wet clutch' systems. Goldwing clutches sit in the crank case oil. Oils like Rotella and Delo LE are popular oils. Just be sure there are no friction modifiers.
