There are some differences between years and models.
Such as.....A interstate has a faring, the standard does not,so there will be different wiring.
The aspy has bling the interstate doesn't....so a few different parts.
All of them have a clutch and valves and some of them have production design changes.
A 80 standard tire is larger than a 83 interstate.

For the most part all the 1000,1100,1200,1500 bikes can be maintained with a general coverage manual.
Specific parts should be referenced from a parts manual.

IF the same year it the same bike but Aspy's have more bling/extras..chrome, different gauges etc. but all the mechanic parts are the same. Small changes every year 80 to 83..brakes, tires, or gearing but most parts interchangeable. Get a Honda shop manual 80 to 83. Use ronAyers site to check part numbers for different years very good resource..put in apart number and tells you all the bikes it fits!
HAD LOTS OF GOLDWING 75-83
NOW INTO 1500'S..RIDING A 1998 SE

FAIR WINDS,
RB
