Do you really need to totally remove the radiator to replace the fan, or just loosen it up a bit? Tks!

I wouldn't want to try getting it out without removing the radiator. It's hard enough even just connecting/disconnecting the fan without removing the radiator, let alone actually unbolt and remove it.

By the time you have spent hours of swearing and skinning your knuckles trying to wiggle the fan out without removing the radiator, you could have pulled the radiator, removed and replaced the fan, replaced the radiator, and gone for a cold beer.
