For my '83 GL1100i, I use about 50 psi for the rear. I have never checked the front, so I can be of no help for that.

The rear specs are 0-57 psi (for 1983) and my setting seems perfect for a nice smooth ride with or without a passenger.

The owners manual calls for front forks between 14-21 psi and the rear between 28-57psi . depending on yuour riding style you may want it on the high side of the pressure range, If you want really good handleing replace your tired 30year old springs with Progressive Suspension springs. You can do front and rear for less than $200 , worth every penny. 8-)
