Fitting air vents to fairing

Postby Newport » Mon Jul 23, 2012 3:18 am

Having disassembled the fairing for a repaint I need to put the air vents back and this seems a little tricky.
Does anyone out there know how to do this?
What sequence?
Do I fit the rubbers to the fairing first?
Are they glued into poisition?
How do I fit the perforated vent covers to underside of fairing?
If the adjustable vents that go into the top side of the fairing are the last to go in then I really wonder how this hhappens.
Perhaps they had a little elf employed when they assembled at the factory!
Nothing seems to fit well so any help will be appreciated.

^^^^^^^^What he said..... when I had the left fairing pocket out I noticed that the boot was disconnected from the grille. It is not intuitively obvious to me how that little sucker needs to get hooked back up - any ideas from the experts? :?: :?: :?:
