'83 Aspencade signal/marker light problems

Postby jeffstatham » Mon Jul 30, 2012 11:49 am

As I near the completion of my year long barn find rebuild, it seems I have one last issue. Everything is working properly except for the signal/marker lights. The signals work fine except both marker lights don't usually come back on after cancelling the signal. I i jiggle the switch or push on it a little, that seems to work, but that's not very practical.

I've had the switch apart and cleaned it up (which seems to have solve some other issues I was having) but it's like it's not making contact somewhere. Is there anything specific I should be looking at?

This is the last thing to fix before I can take it to get safetied.

Thanks in advance!!

Yep, already did that - but I think I might take it apart again just to make sure everything is making contact properly. Thanks though!

They're quite finicky and have to be just right. I know on my 1100 I had to take apart/sand/clean my high beam switch several times before I got it to work reliably.
