Final drive issues

HI all,
Took my 81 gl1100 out for the first ride today an noticed oil dripping on the right of the rear rim from the inside seam on the final drive. None had leaked from the fill or drain bolts. Just wondering if this requires a new seal or are there any "stop leak" oil additives that may fix the problem. I am so impressed at how amazing helpful you all are to eachother and am so glad to find a site like this for lovers of the old Goldwings. They truely are a bike like no other:)

first thing is centerstand it,pull fill plug and make sure its not overfull.full is right at bottom of fill hole.they can leak if overful
