Service Manual download

Postby aznyaz » Thu Aug 16, 2012 5:01 am

When I try to dwonload the GL 1100 service manual my Trend Micro tells me it's a dangerous page. Is there a PDF somewhere on site?

Nope, I do not think so, but you can get one here:

Thanks Viking. The Goldwing World site doesn't seem to be working. When I click on the manual I want to download it just kind of freezes up. Have you seen this happen?

Did you right click the file, and then save to download folder or like that?

Maybe a silly question, but do you have Adobe Reader installed?

Still trying to get the owner's manual opened from Goldwing World but it's not working. I finally realized that I needed to hold down my control key for my computer to allow the download, and you can see it downloading at the bottom of the screen, it gets to 10.66 MB and dings to let me know it's done and then I can't find it anywhere. What's up with that?

If you can discover the name it is being saved as, a search will find it. Otherwise it may be in your "My Documents" "Downloads" folder. Other than that, all I can say is to download it again and try to see where it is going. You did not say you had a PC, so maybe you have a Mac. If so, I cannot help you as I have no clue where they sort stuff to.

I've checked all over my PC (not Mac) and I can't find it anywhere. I'll try right click and save to a folder to see if that works, and keep looking elesewhere.

Thanks.

OK, I've tried every way I can imagine to open the manual and it's just not happening. I can see it going through the motions when I try it but it leaves me with a blank page everytime or it tells me the download was interupted. Tried copy and paste, etc. as well and nothing shows up. Tried downloading manuals that I don't need and the same thing happens. I do a search on my computer and all I get is the site, not the download.

That link woked fine, Scott. Got it printed to Adobe and now have a service manual to use. The one I'm trying to open is the owner's manual.

Thanks

Scott, do you have all the manuals from the link I posted put over on the skyline links you have posted? That would be good, as people are beginning to have problems with the one I had. Thanks for sharing.

A suggestion for those of you that have difficulties with PDF files after they've been downloaded... Download and install Foxit PDF reader. It's free and fast and opens every PDF file I've ever tried with it. Adobe/Acrobat is becoming one of the most problematic programs I've ever used.

Just Google "Foxit". Enjoy :)
