Postby dnesbitt69 » Thu Sep 06, 2012 9:10 pm

i have this bike, a great bike, however the turn signals are probelsome. in the morning they just dont work, however after a short ride two to three miles they work fine. i have been repairing the wiring problems but can not figure this one out, any suggestions from the forum would be much appreciated.

Could be your turn signal flasher is weak. Try another one . You can buy an auto type.

thanks, its a three prong flasher, ill try a honda replacement if possible, dont want to cut and make new splices if possible. i was wondering about a thermo rely that was mentioned in another post, could someone tell me a bit more about that.
im new to the forum and find this the best place for novice bikers.

i believe you can use a 2 pin flasher, check schematic for connections but have read for years that it can be done. I have not tried it myself .

Yes, you can use a 3 pin or a 2 pin flasher. The extra pin is ground, and is required for some electronic flashers. If using a 2 pin, leave the ground (green) wire disconnected.
