Not Such a Bad Thing

Postby gr8jeep » Mon Oct 01, 2012 10:22 am

Seems what i thought was bad was in fact not bad , the part of the housing for the oil pump that i thought i messed up was in fact the metal ring inside of the seal , unfortunately the mistake cost me 16 bucks for a used housing off Ebay , the other sad thing is i could have had this back together 2 days ago , Live and Learn i guess , check out that picture , you guys with experience would have probably knew what i did not but thats why i am here so i can learn new stuff . :( But i am back on track !

Yup - you should have posted that picture initially, we could have told you it was just the old seal you damaged! Oh well, at least you can turn around and re-sell your housing on eBay - who knows, you might even make a profit! :)

I did post it , the subject was Bad Thing , my explanation should have been more detailed as to what i was looking at , just got the cover back on , Neutral switch is working , getting ready to put the cover bolts back in . Came inside to print out what bolt goes where and the tightening sequence , i did remember the bolt that hits the frame into the cover first thank god ! :D
