New windshield

Postby penntoy123 » Sat Oct 20, 2012 2:15 pm

I finished putting on a new windshield, Slipstreamer model 168 on my '82 and took it for a ride. I really enjoyed it, no wind. After I ordered it I thought it may be too tall, but that was not the case. I'll order a vent for it sometime before summer, I'll need the air down here in North Carolina.

Yup, I put that same windshield on my 1100, and loved it. It definitely needs a vent in the summer however, and I also had some Baker Wind Wings that helped. Makes a tremendous difference in the cold weather!

I got the idea from your how to article, the same with the vent. I would like to add some wings to the fairing, to help keep the air off the legs though. It was 42 this morning, then add in the wind chill it got a little chilly.
