Grips and Bar Ends

Postby t_reister » Wed Nov 21, 2012 10:52 pm

I have an 81 Interstate and am in need of new grips. I want to get the foam style grips and add some bar ends. I am not having any luck finding grips/bar ends. Anybody have a suggestion as to where I can get this combo??

You could always try regular grips that allow weights (ISO grips, etc) and then put these over top:

We put those on my wife's Virago, and they worked great.

i have a question about hand grips. i would also like to replace my worn out hand grips and was wondering what is the best method for attaching them to the handle bars? i've seen guys use double sided tape, contact cement, epoxy resin, any suggestions?

I have used hair spray in the past...it worked OKAy... :|
but there is "grip glue" (which I now use instead) available at almost any bike shop.
It smells to me like plain old rubber cement...
But it is cheap and easy (but messy) to use.
