1982 gl1100 interstate wiring

There are 3 wires running into the steering head tube.Anyone know what they are for?

They should be part of the self canceling turn signal system, download the manual and check the wiring diagram to see where to reconnect them. 8-)

Right, they connect to the sensor that tells it if the steering is turned, for the turn canceler. Are they disconnected, or are you just wondering what they're for?

Thanx for the reply.Im just cleaning up the wiring harness and getting rid of all the wires that lead nowhere.Now that i know what there for ill reconnect them.
