Cleaning the tach

Post by penntoy123 » Sun Feb 03, 2013 3:27 pm

I finally got brave enough to take the tach apart to clean it. I pried off the chrome ring and was able to pull it apart. I sprayed it with cable lube and wiped it down with q-tips, cleaned the glass inside and out. Before I reassembled it I used my drill to run it for a few minutes. Afterwards I put back together and back on the bike, it now is quite and runs smoothly. Thanks for all the write ups on how to do this.
