I am painting my 83 GL1100I and decided to (s0me will curse) eliminate the original pinstripes, fairing airbrushing, etc. I am also thinking about eliminating the emblems and just going all black.
A couple of questions-anyone do what I am writing about and how does it look?
Any advice on paining the already chrome painted plastic parts? (i.s. the back side of the air guards, the side switch panel)
This part is on a real tight budget as the bigger paint is being done at a, I can't afford another big bill!!
Thanks folks!

I have no tips, but I'm looking to do the same thing. I also want to paint the chrome crash bars a well due to their overall condition. The ride had some poor storage prior to me picking it up and the cost of re-chroming is out of the question.
Poat pictures when you have completed your paint job.
