I have a 1980 GL1100 Interstate sidecar outfit with a 15" car wheel conversion and Earles leading links. I really need to upgrade the stock suspension to cope better with the extra weight and hopefully eliminate the "wanderly wagon" sensation at high speed on the motorway, as exciting as it is.. I've been looking at the Progressive 412's anyone have any experience with these? They're a bit expensive for my budget, is there an alternative to the stock suspension that's a bit more affordable? Or does anybody have some used ones that they don't need any more? Also need to replace the front shocks with newer, stiffer ones. They're 13" as well. Any suggestions are welcome!

custom work usually requires custom parts. i don't know of anything heavier than the progressive rears, and for side car apps, manual suggests preloading the fork springs. either with a pipe or vw valve springs. hope this helps.
