1100 How to remove oil pump

plese hekp im an auto tech student trying to help a frien in class we dropped a washer in the engine and need to remove this to gain access

As a auto tech....I'd be feverishly fishing about with one of those little magnets on a stick....
As for removing the pump....Its behind the water pump...Lots of bolts,"O" rings and the front cover gasket.
And this is just the main pump..there is a scavenge pump in the back of the engine too...All 3 are coupled together and chain driven.
You can download a service and parts manual to help find your way around the engine.

Once you get the front cover off the engine, you'll see the oil pump:
