help final drive oil

help final drive oil

hi i had a quick look at manual .refilled with oil through the final drive housing breather then checked manual .stupid question was this the correct place to put the oil ? because manual has no info thank you

woops having just read through the excellent d.i.y articles on here i have put the oil in the wrong hole .what do i do now .no laughing Please i can hear you.

what i need to know is have i done any damage and how can i fix it please .in my defence it was early morning so still half asleep. im not normally this stupid honest. call it a senior moment

Put a can under it,remove the large cap on the side.
Let drain any excess or add till level with the the bottom of the hole.

Unless you have something I've nver encountered before you can drain it to the bottom of the UPPER plug but to "drain" it, the bottom plug will have to be removed.
