Front fork repair

Post by Neilnwks » Sun Apr 21, 2013 9:56 pm

In the process of taking the forks apart I did not notice that on the longer spring the coils were closer together on one end and therefore do not know which end should be inserted first (or which end goes down) when reassembling the units. The pictures on rebuilding does not show the springs.
Thanks for assisting.

I put the tight wound end in first. After I add the oil, stroke the shocks and recheck it.
