I fitted a new Road Sofa yesterday (Friday), it does seem firm but it is supposed to break in for about 1k to 1.2k miles, when it is supposed to lower by about 3/4", by Sunday night it will be half broken in.
With my old seat my heels were a few mm off the ground, I bought a low profile thinking when broken in my heels would touch the deck, it must be almost 1" higher because I was almost on tip toes, so when broken in should be the same. Although firm at first I found it far more comfortable than original.
If at first you don't succeed, hide the evidence.
