Exhaust Expulsion Favoring Right Side Pipek

Post by Crmpacer » Tue May 07, 2013 7:12 am

So I went out this morning to let my bike idle and noticed that the exhaust is coming out heavy from the right and only slightly from the left. I feel like a noob for asking but is this normal? When I put my hand by the pipe the pressure on the right would move my fingers while on the left I could just barely feel pressure.

Thanks so much for the help.

Assuming it runs OK..the mufflers are connected to a resonating chamber and then to each side of the engine. It is possible the lesser flowing exhaust is simply plugged up and the most of the exhaust is diverted through the coupler box to the other side.
You could pull it off and see if there is a dirt dobber nest in there.

Had this on mine once, ended up I had an exhaust leak on the left side, fixed that and now its even again.
