removing rubber boots at intake manifold

Thanks to you great guys here i have had success removing my carbs ...and before I undertake my first ever rebuild---by the book---what is the trick to gently sliding the rubber boots off the intake manifold...thanks in advance

If your wanting a easy removal,heat them in a pan of very hot water for 15 minutes
