Possible problem with the alternator or even the battery itself could be going bad. How old is the battery? Have you put it on an external charger? Just asking.

The 1100 has a stator, not an alternator, and it is built into the back of the engine.

Put your voltmeter on the battery posts when the engine is running, and let us know what the voltage is. That way we can figure out if it's not charging at all, or just not enough.

Check the three yellow wire connector just in front of the battery, chances are it is corroded or melted. Cut the connector off and solder the wires instead, use a good quality shrink tube to insulate and waterproof the solder joints. This is a common weakness on all the 1100's. Also check the connection under the false tank where the reg/rectifier plugs in. 8-)

My aim would be the Stator in the rear. granted you have to take out the tank for it to be easily accessible and all but that seems to be the jist of this crap. Are you sure that you charged the battery enough? Connections clean? Yeah I would also check the 3 yellow devils next to your battery. Part for me is if it isnt holding a charge and seems to be draining then it is probably the stator. I had a similar issue and just turned out to be the 3 yellow devils. Also just for **** and giggles make sure that your battery is fully charged over night and also that your connections are clean. Make them shine. We are here for you man.
