Hotter spark plugs

Will going with a hotter plug effect my bike??
Was going to try 1 range hotter on an NGK.

Why?
Current:82 GL1100 Interstate, 60 Amp Poorboy, MSD coil

Ditto on the "Why"? You might want to look at the how-to section, there is a tab called "improving spark plug performance" I run a fully stock ignition on my 1100 and I know that some talk about upgrading the coils but my bike runs/idles great and I don't want to go looking for things to replace. I did replace the wires and caps on my coils but that was more of a proactive thing. We need more info to help you.
