83 rear rotor

How does one know when to replace a rear rotor?

What kind and where whould one purchase a new rotor?

Since I may have to go to the trouble of replacing it--I would rather put a new rotor on as it should last me the rest of my life on this bike.

Thanks for any input.

I think that you can buy new from a company called EBC or ECB something like that but maybe not because I think that your bike has the vented vs. solid rotors like on older wings. I have seen these for sale on Ebay for about $220 per rotor. Take a peek under GL 1100 brakes.

Right. EBC has the rotors for about $194 the last time I checked. I'm thinking of using three on my rebuild. I may install new on the front & turn the rear; unsure yet.
