volt meter

Postby shivsal » Tue Apr 20, 2010 3:02 pm

Hi, I appreciate all the help that I got on this forum, too the questions, I have asked so far. I have one more to ask. I have everything working on my 82 Gold Wing Aspencade, except the volt meter does not move at all. Can anybody point me in the right direction to trouble-shoot this, systomatically to solve this. As always, thanks to all that reply, much appreciated.

It runs off the same rats nets of wires in the front fairing as the radio and CB does. Specifically, it runs on the same circuit as operates the radio tuner, which runs off a 5 amp inline fuse in the fairing behind the left turn signal. However, if your radio is working, then that's not the problem. Either a connector has come apart near the meter itself, or the meter has failed. I'd check the wiring connectors throughout the fairing.
